Best of Norway

8 Day Roundtrip Tour from Oslo

Eight Brilliant Days • One Magical Country • Escorted by Blue Skies Travel

Deep-blue fjords, soaring mountains, shimmering glaciers, and thundering waterfalls—Norway is home to some of the world's most spectacular scenery, and you'll experience it all on this unforgettable journey.

One of the tour's highlights is a ride aboard the famous Flåm Railway, widely considered one of the world's most scenic train journeys. Climbing to more than 2,800 feet through 20 tunnels, the railway reveals dramatic waterfalls, snowcapped peaks, rushing rivers, deep gorges, mountainside farms, and breathtaking views of Sognefjord, Norway's longest and most magnificent fjord.

Travel along the spectacular Hardanger National Tourist Route and pause at Steinsdalsfossen, one of Norway's most beloved waterfalls, where you'll have the unique opportunity to walk behind the cascading water without getting wet.

Norway's rich history is equally captivating. During the Middle Ages, remarkable churches were built entirely of wood. Today, only 28 of these historic stave churches remain. In Borgund, we'll visit one of the finest and best-preserved examples, dating to around 1180.

We'll spend two nights in Bergen, Norway's charming gateway to the fjords. During a guided walking tour, you'll explore Bryggen, the city's UNESCO-listed historic waterfront, famous for its colorful wooden merchant buildings and fascinating glimpse into medieval life.

The journey concludes with a scenic train ride back to Oslo and an extra night to enjoy Norway's vibrant capital at a relaxed pace. You'll also enjoy a
Choice excursion in Bergen, allowing you to personalize your experience based on your own interests.

Throughout your adventure, you'll enjoy the seamless service of a professional Globus Tour Director, along with the added care and attention of Blue Skies Travel owner Margo McDonough, who will personally escort the group from beginning to end.
